Rekordbox tool
Find your duplicate tracks.
Over the years your Rekordbox collection picks up doubles you didn't notice: the Extended Mix you bought separately, the WAV you re-downloaded on top of the MP3, the same track imported twice from different USBs. This tool finds them all in seconds, groups them per song, and gives you a clean list so you can decide what to keep and reclaim some disk space.

In Rekordbox: File → Export Collection in xml format
How it works
- In Rekordbox: File → Export Collection in xml format.
- Drag the resulting
rekordbox.xmlonto the upload area above. - Every track is grouped by artist and base track name. Version descriptors like (Extended Mix) and (Original Mix) are stripped before grouping.
- You get a list of duplicate groups, with all versions side by side, ready for you to pick a keeper.
🔒 Your XML is parsed locally in your browser and never sent to a server. Only the duplicate list and your email address are sent so we can deliver the CSV. Your full collection stays private.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find duplicate tracks in Rekordbox?
Rekordbox doesn't have a built-in duplicate finder. Export your collection as XML (File → Export Collection in xml format) and use the tool above. It groups tracks by artist and normalized name, catching both exact duplicates and version variants like Extended Mix, Original Mix, and Radio Edit.
What counts as a duplicate in this tool?
Any two or more tracks with the same artist and the same base track name. The tool strips common version descriptors (Extended Mix, Original Mix, Radio Edit, Club Mix, etc.) before comparing, so "Disruption" and "Disruption (Extended Mix)" show up in the same group. Different remixes by named artists (e.g. "Joris Voorn Remix") are NOT treated as duplicates because they are genuinely different productions.
Is my Rekordbox library uploaded to a server?
No. Your XML file is parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. Your collection stays on your computer at all times. Only the duplicate list and your email address are sent so we can deliver the CSV.
Why do I have so many duplicates in Rekordbox?
Common causes: downloading the same track from multiple sources at different qualities (MP3, WAV, FLAC), buying both the Extended Mix and Original Mix from Beatport, importing the same USB stick twice, re-downloading promos. Each ends up as a separate entry in your collection, taking up disk space and cluttering your search results.
How do I decide which version to keep?
For DJs, the Extended Mix is usually the best to keep because it has a longer intro and outro for mixing. Radio Edits are shorter and less mix-friendly. For exact duplicates (same name, same BPM, same length), keep the highest-quality file (WAV/FLAC over MP3, higher bitrate over lower). The CSV shows file size in MB so you can spot the keeper at a glance.
Does this work with Rekordbox 6 and 7?
Yes. The XML export format works with both Rekordbox 6 and Rekordbox 7. The export option is in the same place: File → Export Collection in xml format.
How do I export my Rekordbox collection as XML?
Open Rekordbox, click File in the top menu, choose Export Collection in xml format, and save the file anywhere on your computer. Then drag it into this tool.
